Peace-of-mind checklist before leaving your car at airport parking

Before you leave for the airport, a five-minute car check can save you days of worry. If you're parking near Suvarnabhumi airport for several days, here's a simple checklist to make sure your car — and your peace of mind — stays intact while you're away.

Why car safety matters more on multi-day trips

Leaving your car exposed to the elements or in an unsecured lot for five to seven days is a different proposition from a quick overnight stay. Rain, heat, and opportunistic theft are real concerns. That's why the type of facility you choose matters as much as the price.

HUB Airport Parking is located 7 km from Suvarnabhumi terminal — about 12 minutes by shuttle — and offers covered indoor parking, so your car is protected from sun and rain the entire time you're away. CCTV runs 24 hours a day, on-site security guards are always present, and you keep your own keys. Nobody moves your car without you.

Your pre-departure checklist

1. Check tyre pressure and fluid levels

A flat tyre waiting for you at 2am after a long-haul flight is not a good homecoming. Take two minutes before you leave to confirm tyre pressure is correct and that there are no warning lights on the dashboard.

2. Remove valuables from the cabin

Even in a secured facility, remove laptops, chargers, documents, and any bags visible through the windows. This is standard practice regardless of how trusted the parking provider is.

3. Note your car's condition

Take a quick phone video walking around the car before you hand over — or in HUB's case, keep — your keys. This creates a timestamped record of any existing scratches or dents, giving you a clear baseline.

4. Confirm your shuttle pickup time

HUB's free 24/7 shuttle picks up in 15 minutes. Still, it's worth confirming your outbound pickup when you book, especially for early-morning flights. Flying at 6am? The shuttle runs at any hour, so you don't need to leave home at 3am just to sort out a taxi.

5. Save your booking confirmation and the facility's phone number

Store your confirmation email offline and save the contact number. For parking near Suvarnabhumi airport, HUB can be reached at +66-62-442-4291. Many travelers prefer to call or use LINE to confirm details rather than rely on apps — especially useful when you land and just want to know the shuttle is on its way.

6. Compare total costs before you commit

Suvarnabhumi's on-airport lot charges approximately 1,750 THB for 7 days. HUB's 7-day rate is 999 THB (before 7% VAT) — a saving of around 43%. The 3-day rate is 549 THB (before 7% VAT) and the 5-day rate is 849 THB (before 7% VAT). Custom durations start from 130 THB per day (excluding VAT). Over a family trip of five to seven days, that difference adds up to a meaningful amount.

What to look for in a parking facility near Suvarnabhumi

Not all off-airport lots are equal. When evaluating options, prioritise:

• Covered or indoor parking — protects against sun damage, flooding, and opportunistic access
• CCTV and on-site staff — not just cameras, but a physical security presence
• You keep your keys — valet-style lots where staff move cars freely are a known risk point
• Free, reliable shuttle — a parking deal loses its value if the transfer costs time or money
• Clear, upfront pricing — know whether VAT is included before you commit

HUB Airport Parking meets all of these criteria and accepts credit card, PromptPay, bank transfer, and cash.
