How to get a VAT tax invoice for your airport parking

Who Needs a VAT Tax Invoice for Airport Parking?

If you're parking near Suvarnabhumi airport for a business trip, your company's finance team almost certainly needs a full VAT tax invoice (ใบกำกับภาษี) to process your expense claim. Without it, the VAT portion of your parking fee — 7% on top of the base rate — cannot be reclaimed, and your reimbursement may be delayed or rejected entirely.

This guide walks you through exactly how to request a proper tax invoice for airport parking, using HUB Airport Parking as the primary example.

Why Airport Parking Costs Add Up — and Why It Matters for Expenses

One pain point business travelers know well: multi-day airport parking fees quietly balloon on the invoice. Parking directly at Suvarnabhumi's official lot costs around 1,750 THB for 7 days (before VAT). HUB Airport Parking, located just 7 km and 12 minutes from the terminal, charges 999 THB for the same 7 days (excluding VAT) — a 43% saving. On an expense report, that difference is significant, and having a clean VAT invoice makes the whole process smoother.

What Information Goes on a Thai VAT Tax Invoice?

A valid Thai VAT tax invoice must include:

• Your company's full legal name (ชื่อบริษัทตามทะเบียน)
• Tax ID number (เลขประจำตัวผู้เสียภาษี — 13 digits)
• Registered address
• Date of service
• Description of service (e.g., parking duration and dates)
• Base amount before VAT
• VAT amount (7%)
• Total amount including VAT
• Seller's tax ID and address

Make sure you collect all of these details from your company before you book, so there are no delays after your trip.
